Last Week in Pix + 2x2 - Long Weekend Bliss

Last week was STRESSFUL.  Work was the normal amount of unnecessary crap. Bad weather near my hometown was no fun at all.  Let's just say this long weekend could not have come at a better time.
FRIDAY;

Raise A Glass For Oklahoma! happened at SOUTH in Santa Monica. We are still waiting for the final report from the bar, but we are pretty sure we reached our goal to raise $1000 for Feed The Children in Oklahoma City. Check out the progress here: https://app.mobilecause.com/public/social/7524  It was great that people were down to help out. We had amazing raffle prizes, the bar is donating 15% of the night's sales, and a lot of Oklahomies showed up, which was just wonderful. And because the more we drank the more money the bar would donate...we drank a fair amount.
SATURDAY & SUNDAY:
Yoga did not happen. I tried really hard, but all of my donation drinking said no.  I finally got rolling in the afternoon, packed up my stuff and Sonic and headed out to Big Bear mountain where…

One for the OklaHomies

You may have realized this from the name of my blog or due to the fact that you know my personally, but I'm from Oklahoma, born and raised. When I moved to California one of my old coworkers had one request: "When people ask you about Oklahoma, be proud. Don't talk bad about it. Tell them the nice things about your home state."

There are so many amazing things about Oklahoma that you can NOT get in Los Angeles: open skies, thunderstorms and fresh air just to name a few. (And REAL Snocones. Where can I find a real snocone in LA??? Shimmers...how I miss you!)
Being from Oklahoma I understand tornadoes. In the spring they happen like every other day. So when Mike Morgan - the local Oklahoma City weather man - says there's a twister coming you take note, but you don't really think it will be disrup…

Epic Post (Because It's Been Awhile)

Lovelies, I'm sorry.  It has been way too long since I've posted. It has nothing to do with you, and I don't love you any less.
You see, I've been preoccupied. There are so many new things happening. I want to share them all with you, but it's so difficult to find the time!
So you're getting a wam-bam-thank-you-ma'am of a post:  a mini review, a TON of pictures because I've been all over the place snapping them AND a 1x1 (a shorter version of my 2x2).  Whaaa? Best. Day. EVER!
What I've Been Listening To
The Great Gatsby Soundtrack
You already know that +Jay-Z is the mastermind behind the soundtrack for the new movie The Great Gatsby. But have you listened to it? Some of the songs are a bit annoying at first. But you have to remember the context. The Great Gatsby is another film by Baz Luhrmann, the same director that brought us Moulin Rouge and Romeo and Juliet. Knowing that, you might expect some periodized (is that a word?) renditions of current…
